We are honored to welcome Andy Benes as the keynote speaker for the Vermilion Valley FCA Victory Dessert Fundraiser. A man of deep faith and remarkable achievements, Andy Benes boasts a distinguished career as a 14-year Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher, earning All-Star accolades and an Olympic Gold Medal in 1988, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.

Born on August 20, 1967, in Evansville, Indiana, Benes' journey in professional baseball began when he was selected first overall in the 1988 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. His career unfolded as a testament to skill, resilience, and, most importantly, how his relationship with God influenced not only his career on the mound but also his role as a husband and father.

Beyond the realm of athletics, Andy Benes is deeply involved in fostering the next generation of athletes. As the owner of the STL Prospects Baseball Club, he actively contributes to the development of young talent, instilling not only the skills of the game but also the values of integrity, discipline, and faith.

Please join us at the Victory Dessert Fundraiser for an evening of inspiration as Andy Benes shares his compelling journey, emphasizing the profound impact that a relationship with God can have on one's career, family, and the broader community. His story is a testament to the transformative power of faith and the enduring impact of a life lived in devotion to God, family, and the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to attend?

Absolutely nothing! However, there will be an opportunity to financially partner with the ministry during the event. It’s our biggest fundraising event of the year! We do require that all guests register online to receive a table assignment.

What should I wear?

Typical dress is business casual. That said, it really doesn’t matter.

Can I bring my kids?

Unfortunately, no. This is our only “adult only” event of the entire year. We want to maximize the number of adults in attendance to be able to influence kids throughout the rest of the year. If you’d like your kid(s) to get involved in the ministry, we’d love to talk with you. Give us a call!
